Due to biosecurity risks and the nature of live animal sales, all chicken and fertile egg sales are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges or change-of-mind refunds on live birds. We regularly hatch our own chicks to ensure high hatch rates however it’s important to note that eggs are a natural product and can be influenced by various factors. Eggs are provided at your own risk, and we do not guarantee nor offer refunds for unhatched eggs.

All birds are sold in good health to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale. If you have concerns about a bird's condition at collection or delivery, please contact us within 24 hours and provide photographs or relevant information.

No. Future laying rates, breeding performance, temperament and flock compatibility can be influenced by many factors outside our control, including housing, nutrition, management and environment.

Yes. We regularly offer waiting lists for selected breeds and products. Joining a waiting list is the best way to receive priority notification when stock becomes available.

We now offer Australia wide postage using Eggsafe packaging via the Express Post network, posted on Mondays. Postage is at the buyers expense and at your own risk - we do not take responsibility for low or 0 hatch rates due to the eggs being affected by temperature changes or mishandling during transit and will always recommend local pick up for this very reason. We meet twice weekly in Canberra for local pick up and often travel to areas in NSW and are happy to deliver fertile eggs when doing so - please subscribe to stay up to date with any future planned trips.

No. Due to biosecurity risks we do not take back any birds sold as unsexed chicks if they turn out to be roosters.

No. Due to the unique nature of antique, vintage, second-hand and up-cycled items, all sales are final and we do not offer change-of-mind returns or exchanges.

Many of our pieces have lived long and interesting lives before finding their way to Setters Cottage. Signs of age, wear, repairs and character are often part of what makes these items special.

We carefully photograph and describe each item and disclose any known wear, repairs, marks, chips, scratches or imperfections. We encourage customers to review all photographs, measurements and descriptions before purchasing.

Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, we do not offer change-of-mind returns on furniture purchases.

Please inspect your furniture upon delivery or collection. If transport damage has occurred, notify us within 24 hours and provide photographs where possible so we can work with the carrier to resolve the issue.
